REQUEST:

Design a connected and interactive store in one week.

THE BRAND:

Phildar is a knitting store proposing a large range of wool and a ready-to-wear line.

Since many years, the brand knows numerous difficulties because of his aging image. Furthermore, the franchised stores don’t have enough money to highlight the products and to promote a younger image of the brand. These elements are the major problems explaining the decline of Phildar.

However, the brand is extremely active and efficient on the social networks. It enables to gather the “Do It Yourself” addicts together and to create a new consumers community.

CONCEPT:

Through this project, Phildar becomes “Philbar”, a new creating and sharing space. The design of our store is simple: two walls of wool are face to face. In one of them, a wool ball falls and bounces on the ground. The wool ball creates in his fall a workshop table, a bar and at the end of his running, the till.

On the big interactive and connected back wall we planned to expose the workshop photos organized by the brand or artistic wool works for special occasions.

“Philbar” becomes a new space of meetings, younger and more connected to his virtual community.

Because of the emplacement of the store in a shopping centre, we decided to open the window shop and to delimit the store with threads. This new front window will be interactive and moving when someone will approach it. It will enable to discover the display case exposing artistic wool pieces.
