REQUEST:
Design a sound installation to promote the binaural sound
THE GROUP:
Radio France is a big group of French radios including cultural, informational and musical frequencies. They wanted to create a binaural sound experience to initiate people at this new medium.
The binaural sound is the 3D sound.
CONCEPT:
With my co-worker we designed “CHRONOS”. This is an interactive object, which enables people to move into the 3D sound travelling through times.
Each panel corresponds to an age (Jurassic, Middle Ages, Future…) and trigger a binaural sound specific to his universe.
You can move the object at 360°. So you can explore the 3D sound all around you.
By moving, we wanted to make understand to people what is the 3D sound and how you can interact with this one.
Experience the dinosaur’s age with the binaural sound and fall face to face with a terrific T-REX.
